We helped the DNR with a goose banding project this season, and they were banding this year with metal leg bands and also plastic tarsus leg bands with no numbers, they were white and orange, is that what you saw? They were relocating the majority of the birds, which is a huge waste of time as they will only return in short order!

They could have been orange,,but it looked red. For sure they were larger than the ordinary metal bands... I was stunned at the white and my daughter kept saying look at the red
