I have a small pond across the road from my house and last evening I seen a hen mallard with five little ones about the size of a quail. Now tonight I seen another hen with one little one about the size of a robin. I'm by no means a duck expert, as a matter of fact I not a expert at anything, but it just seems a bit strange to see birds this small this time of year.

If I could get them across the road into my yard they would end up as pets, until season opener anyway. ;D

Late season hatch is one of my favorite things to see. Meens the ducks had a good spring. Therefore more to see from the blind!!!
