Got home from vacation this evening and ready to chill out for awhile. We had a good time, it is alittle stressfull with staying in a cabin with the sister in law and kids but we survived. Here are a few pics of where we stayed. Our cabin, it was an awesome setting! Some of the other cabins in our neighborhood. A few of the view from our cabin, we were on top of our mountain, really a steep drive up to it. A view of the pool overlooking down into the valley also. Some mountain wildflowers from near the top of the highest point in eastern North America, Clingman's Dome in Smoky Mtn. National park.

I love my kids and they are very well behaved, but my inlaws kids are whiny, self centered brats! I thought a few times of hanging them by their shorts over the front railing there! ;D

Yes, actually about 10min. west of Pigeon Forge off Wear Valley Rd., place called Brother's Cove. Man was it hot! It rained every afternoon for a short period. It was hot and hazy the entire time, never could get the really good photos of the mountains that I wanted due to the haze.

We were there with the family and in-laws as well about 2 weeks ago - A Place called Sherwood Forest Resort - you had to drive through Pigeon Forge and then turned right at light #10 - did you take the kids to the NASCAR go karts at all?

Didn't see any bears, but did see some deer and turkeys, saw a piebald or however you spell it, turkey, half white mixed in. Saw it about 20 yards off the side of the road while driving through park. Some other family members went to Cades Cove and said they had deer about 10' from them, no hunting pressure will do that.
