No personal experience, but almost every conversation about them I've overheard says they flare geese.

John...I've only been told the same thing Chico said, never tried one myself. But if your looking for something to give movement I may have something for you. I'll send you some pictures.

They work up to 150 yards away. Then turn them off.

They are more attracted to donuts scattered amongst the spread.

Problem is when i hunt with you Travis most of the donuts are gone before the first flock comes in.

I have always had it in the back of my head to get one. My thoughts are for distant geese also. Nothing close. I do use a flag and would not hunt without one. Its part of the spread. So,, IMO,,, yes it would work as long as it was on a remote and only used for getting attention of distant geese.
