It over, for another year. 400 plus kids spent a day in Cedar Swamp. Angola HS's FFA club did a great job of planning and teaching two areas. the wetland was alive with birds, crawdads, leeches, and kids- kids - kids. We built wood duck Boxes, learned about waterfowl from the Indiana Biologist(he's a good guy- wants us to shoot geese next Feb, has to be approved by the flyway council). He's asking for a FEb season with a 5 a day limit. He'll take whatever is given so HUNTERS can help the situation. Kids also planted a few hundred trees, wrote about water, and looked at macro invertibrates after they caught them. Wagon ride to and from the swamp. The Christel DeHaan foundation donated 10 grand to the eevent. Every kid that wants a greenwing membership gets one for free. Pictures to follow. Scott

It was definitely a fun event. I'm so tired of building and tearing apart wood duck boxes. There was a lot of work that went into this event and our Hotshot coordinates the whole thing. Very well done buddy. Looking forward to next year!

I agree with the Biologist comments. Very good guy. Avid duck/goose hunter. With any luck, he will get some positive changes made for us. I had a great time talking to him.
