Just received the band info from the last goose I killed last season. You know I didn't think about it being my last goose killed and being banded until now. Anyway it was a female juvenile banded on 6/19/06 a at Blountsville, IN #1008-60120.
Donnie you should be getting your info shortly.

You should band some of the ones you release Art!
That would be cool. Banded in Art's shed this morning before he released them.

I guess they were locals after all, must have been the exotic flagging routine. I knew the color guard practice would pay off!
That is where the bird I shot in Sept '05 was banded. But I got mine in Anderson, he decided to fly a bit further!

I shot one a few years ago, called in the info and never heard anything back for a couple of months, so I called them again to see what was the deal. They asked me to give them all the info again and I did. Then a minute or 2 later the lady, asked me to repeat that number again and I did, then she finally said, well we have that number reported as killed 2 years ago and wanted me to reconfirm the number which I did again, then she asked if I would be willing to mail the band in to them (for what reason I don't know), and they would send it back to me (who knows when). I told her to just forget about it, there's no way I'm sending in a band and don't know when or if I would get it back. I was really dissapointed too, it was really worn and a early number, so I wanted to know the history of the bird. Oh well.

Very Weird.

Kyle, Good strategy! Plus all that extra weight of aluminum and plastic that you'd have to lug out into the field!
