Got all the materials today for my new layout. less the fiberglass/epoxy. I am hopefullt gonna start on it this week. The baby is about 3-4 weeks out now so I really need to hurry and get the frame built before then. Pics to follow after I get started.

Trust me Adam, get as much done before the kid comes. You will NOT have any time afterwards!! Any time you do have will probably be spent sleeping!

Take your time.. because once the kid is born there won't be any sex for several months if ever again.

Well, I am about 3 hours in and have a decent start, I am going slow but here we go... The bottom sides and floor The curve for thee transom a ladder shelf for the babies room.

Its it two stories tall? Or does it have a basement? Because I see you have a step ladder.

My brain is just so frazzled from all the blood that's been in it for the last 4 years (since my daughter was born) I actually can't remember what the real truth is! ;D Although we did manage to have a second kid about a year ago, so I must have been involved with that somehow, but can't recall.... ;D

Got to work on it a little bit this weekend. I need to spend about $400 in nothing but clamps to move faster but that will just have to wait. Chines going on: Cockpit and one side: another view: crappy directions I got off the net, I will make my own instructions if I ever build another one.

What is the estimated weight going to be of your boat?

I don't really know what the weight will be. I used 3/8" plywood instead of 1/4" and I haven't glassed it yet. I would guess 60-75 pounds though. It is really light now with everything but the top on. I wouldn't mind finding out the weight when done but I am not sure how. maybe the deer scales at the check station or something.

is that the "hybrid" plans?

is that the "hybrid" plans? I based it loosly on the hybrid plans. After trying to use the hybrid plans I really don't like them. I ordered glass for mine this week. YOu need to finish your foamer and we can "race them" at the H-I get together at atterbury. I think I will name mine the water plow.

I do need to glass it before the humidity gets on. Mine is pretty flat on the bottom so there will be a lot of drag to it, you might win the race. I'm hoping to get a free weekend to finish it. I would like to do some fishing out of it as well.
I have the original "hybrid" plans as well. They are kind of hard to follow, but if you've done any sort of woodcrafting at all they aren't that bad.
P.S. Boat looks great.

Looks good, I have tossed around the idea of making one. But that is as far as I got. The weight doesn't really matter, just currious. A good estimate like the ability to carry by yourself or it goes from the back of truck to water cause it is too danged heavy. Along those lines.
Good job, and thanks for the updates gives us something to talk about besides the wizzing matching in the deer hunting and campfire!!!

I found this picture the other day and like the idea of the wheels on the back. Not gonna do it on this one, but....
