I made some about that size and they seemed to work fine - my problem was the material we used. We used that plastic gray board that is used to make yard signs and stuff and it was a little too flimsy and glared too much on most days.

If he makes six dozen a week then we'll have just about enough come September. Only thing I would do different, since I don't have to carry them, is double up on the size.  |

I made 2 out of luan flooring I had left over. They looked good but I never used em.

Those dont look half bad. Just make sure they dont glare and they'll kill some birds.
But really you guys should just buy some GHG full body motion dekes like the one's I've got ;D

I should get a hunting season support check from their wives. Last hunt they were tearing at the donut box like a pack of wild dogs. ;D |

Hey have any of you guys ever seen Toms dekes? Oh those must be the ones he hunts over in his livingroom while watching Fallin Skies. They'll last a long long time that way and they don't get dirty either. ;D

They'll last a long long time that way and they don't get dirty either. ;D Hunting with you I've only had the opportunity to kill 2-3 more birds than if I was watching fallen skies in the living room ;D And the Wilkinson boys and Travis have seen them. You'll want to see them too when you try to flock those heads on your bigfoots. |

Ok, so then we're all hunting with you this year. I hope you have some good spots locally so we don't have to travel out of state every weekend. Oh lets just all plan to hunt IL this year, how may guys can you get in your truck? All we need to bring is our gun and shells right?

911... i have about 50 homemade silo's in my shed that i never use anymore. They work fine... just dont use them really. WE have sentry's and upright. Paints not the greatest but would like to send you one of them. I think you will love the "extra" that we added to it. I can try to explain it but might not go well. We took the actual side profile silo like you have shown... and made a cut horizontal from the tail to about 3/4 the way to the chest. Then took a "top view" piece and it slides into that slot forming a cross so to speak. This gives them a real! 3d look from straight above as well. In one of the "wings" then a hole was cut for a stake that holds the birds up off the ground. With a good painting job like you have on yours.. i think they will be awesome! If ya want one... pm me or email me hunter_2801@hotmail.com and ill get one to ya just to see if you want to try that. Ours are made out of 1/4" luan... or however you spell that |

You can hunt in Illinois with me...for the same price that I can go to Canada with you. So you can hunt for free everytime Im there if you take our Illinois crew to Canada. So all we need is our gun and shells. RIGHT? ;D |

This past season I was only able to make it out 3 or 4 times with Art and a few times with my brother-n-law. Probably a total of 7 or 8 goose hunts.
Deer hunting I was out nearly every weekend from October through Thanksgiving.
I am sure it wasn't anywhere near the amount of times you were out hunting. When I was not working a full time job I was out hunting at least 3 times a week. You were out at least that much right?
