I have been enjoying this photo stuff but my heart still lies with hunting so when I read about them seeing a whooping crane at Goose Pond I didn't think much of it. Then I thought I saw it, still not a big deal but cool none the less. It turned out to be a melonistic? ((maybe) sandhill

Melonistic sandhill it is. Still very cool. Whooping cranes are bigger, black wing tips, and will have a black cheek patch. Still, this picture is of a rare bird. I would love to see that bird come over my spread in Kansas. Your taking some great pictures.

I knew right away it wasn't one but still cool. We really need to make a road trip down there soon. i might go again next weekend. It is 1 hour and 5 min from my house.
I am still waiting on the snow goose pics.

Next weekend is bad for me. I just spent a week hunting geese while the girlfriend was having surgery. I now have to do the quality time thing.
