Looks like Tippy enjoys the snow. Are those geese near where you got your band? You are taking some great pictures. I love the one of the goose eating the fish.

Ahhh. I was at P-town for it's grand opening..... Nice looking habitat, but I didn't see too many recreational activities. Just didn't seem like the kinda place where I'd want to go spend the weekend and camp.

Travis, No there is nothing there now, The campground doesn't even have any trees. ( I bet that is fun in the middle of summer) It's kind of a sore subject with me, I lost a lot of my best hunting spots to that stupid park and am going to lose a few more at some point. It really chaps me that they put it up there in the middle of nowhere with nothing going on when the could have put it south of lafayette at fort quiotenion(SP)(we-ought-in-on) how ever the heck you spell it. There are hills and trees and the river is nice down there.

There was a banded goose shot there too, but we know who claimed that one.
If you only knew how much money the state is wasting on that park. They are paying way over the value for the land. Then they build up tons and tons of dirt, just so they can waste hundreds of thousands of dollars in putting in a bridge. There has been a paved road there for years. No need for a bridge. I'm not against state parks at all. This one has just been one mistake after the other, and the state doesn't have the money to take care of what they already have like boat ramps for starters.

Looks like it would have been a good SRA or F&WA instead of a state park.
Nice pics too, thanks for sharing

Yeah, but I got to burn some houses because of the park!! ;D
Haven't been there, don't have any plans to go either. I would like to be there (and have a drip torch in hand) when the DNR burns the prarie though.
