Just for the record: my 870 express, goes shuck-shuck boom, just fine after 16 years of hard core waterfowling. I've cleaned it after most trips, and Its killed pheasants, rabbits, hundreds of ducks, and geese, a few deer, and one mangey raccoon, and a cat with broken hips.
Still shoots great. After 16 years, it does need the rust pockets gotten rid of: but some steel wool and spray paint: home camo job!
