OK so I am trying to enter my email address in my prepaid verizon phone. The @ sign is on the number 1 key. So how do I get it to come up as @ instead of 1?

Try double-clicking quickly, like you would to capitalize a letter without proceeding without repeating the character.

Thanks Russ, I finally figured it out. Seems like I tried that a dozen times and then shazam, it worked.
