It wasn't the greatest year hunting, but I added the fun of training and hunting with my retriever. Today is her first birthday, so I had to post a picture of her and her proud owner after her first retrieve. After seeing her get that first duck it made all the months of training worth it. Still trying to convince my wife that all the chewed stuff around the house is worth it - but I'm working on it! Happy hunting all - time to beging getting the decoys cleaned and packed away - only about 210 days till early goose season.

It is pretty exciting - I have to say the most rewarding part was seeing her do what she was made to do in the water. Hours of hours of throwing the dummy paid off. I've waterfowled for a few years and adding the dimension of having a dog really adds a lot of fun to it. Good luck with your Chessie. I saw your pics and they look great.
