Enter a massive state of depression until turkey season gets here. No, winter is Tax Season. My wife is a public accountant, so I become Mr. Mom. My winter is as hectic as they come. I have to do 100% of everything until April 15th. The winter flies by. On top of that archery league keeps things hopping, DU committee this year, church meetings, ... oh and work ... I really need to focus on work for a few months instead of focusing on hunting.

dry and store waders, and what seems like a ton of gear and clothign. ice fish to keep some sanity. Add up points on my bass pro credit card to buy dekkes, drive around looking at birds on the water. attend DU meetings, watch for clearance deals on all the hunitng stuff I NEED. This spring I'll build some tree stands, get the boat ready for fishing, paint the boat, I just finished a wood floor in the living room, and am now painting the kitchen, living rm, and hall. next a second coat on the bedroom, and the downstairs "trophy room" gets a coat of paint also. This spring I hope toget a screened in porch out back. Scott

Ice fishin time looks like it may be a possibility if it stays like it is down here. Then sauger and turkeys, then warm weather fishin. How will I fit it all in before September 1?

Yeah I will kill some crows too. Get a job hopefully, graduate college (finally). Once the weather gets warm I will do a little fishing, maybe take up sporting clays, and head to the drag strip with this piece.

Tom...... you need to get to work on your pond renovations that you and I discussed that cold day in December....'er was that January??? I dunno. There doesnt seem to be enough birds this way to make those renovations you speak of. Maybe if I take that area directly south of the shop, dig it out a bit (for flooding), plant some duck food, then bury a pit, it MIGHT work. But I doubt it with my luck. Maybe Art needs to be present. I've got access to the bobcat if I decide to have at it. ;D

The 'cat would be all you would need to dig that out about 2' deep...... You might wanna talk to Art and see if he could train some of his ducks to use your pond.
