Ok how many out there actually eat their snow geese they shoot? Up in Northeast Kansas, near Troy, Kansas. We get out on the hills where you can see fairly far and watch for small clouds moving north from Kansas City's, Iatan power plant, where there is warm water for them to rest and recover from the days feeding. Once you see a group you just get out your plat of the county and with three vechicles you can spread out and follow them and when they land to feed you can do the sneak job. In the spring there is no limit and no plug law, just load up and shoot. One can put a hurtin on them and besides great fun, alot of jerky can be made and we give alot to others who need food. We use heavy shot and kill them. Plus environmentally for back in Canada we help cut down on the numbers of them going back and making a waste land where other birds need to nest and feed. I figure for every one we kill, we save one or two ducks and other migrating birds. ;D

I never had a problem w/the way they taste. They are easy to clean too. Just grab the skin below the breast plate and pull towards the head like you would a dove, then your ready to cut the meat out. I have been hunting them every year since the spring season started on them. Never done a sneak on them, always hunted them over decoys. Great Bend Kansas is another really good area to hunt them.
