Don't know what it was about today but i saw more geese in the air from 10 -12 noon than Ive seen in a long time. Took a trip to Sinclair International in New Haven which is about 35 mile one way drive and I saw flocks of 6 - 15 geese all the way there. I cant remember seeing that many geese in the air. Why would that be? Because of the snow and freezing ponds? Are the geese moving south or just looking for open water. I'm not a waterfowl hunter but I'm just curious. h.h.

I saw Geese out around Noon today also while running an errand for lunch and yes I do think they were looking for open water.

This cold weather has things locking up fast. They are simply searching for water. Once they can't find water. Once the bigger water starts to ice over, then the bulk will move south.
