This past weekend I thought I would surprise my wife with a gourmet meal.
I started off by making hollandaise sauce from scratch, not hard to do but time consuming.
Then I made poached Walleye using this recipe www.winkelman.com/recipes/submitted-recipes/2011/1/28/poached-walleye
I think that once you try poached fish you will be hooked.
I included steamed asparagus and placed all of this on a bed of hash browns that included wild hen of the woods mushrooms mixed in and the hollandaise sauce spread on top of all of this.
My wife said and I must agree it was some of the best Walleye we have ever eaten.
