Despite the rain, mud, flooded fields everywhere, and a North wind that still had a little bite in it despite the unusually warm temps we hit the fields today in search of geese! We managed to dump 6 total, with no 'crips escaping after a long walk for Tony and Art to secure that no birds went uncollected. I managed to cull the flock of a few "freak" geese as everyone put it. One looked like a barnyard / Canada mix... it had orange feet and bill.....but it had Canadian coloration also. The other was a midget Canadian.....very stubby.....I'd say it was a lesser Canadian or something. It was maybe a tad larger than half the size of the other geese killed. It was a great day..... We didn't see a TON of geese, but we did pretty good with the opportunities that presented themselves. It was a good time with good friends......and who could ask for more than that???
