If you haven't been out during this last week of duck season, then GET OUT! We shot our limit for 2 guys yesterday. 3 Drake Redheads, 1 Drake Pintail, 2 Hen Shovelers, 1 Hen Mallard, and rest were Drake Mallards. Plus a Canada Goose. Prolly saw 3,000+ specks, 1,000+ Canada Geese, and 2,000+ ducks in Linton. They're not all on GP, so you can't trust their count. With floods down that way, a lot of the birds are held up on private flooded corn acting as a refuge. There is a lot of ice, but we hunted open water yesterday. Pics to come.

Good deal! Plan to hunt as much as possible on Saturday and Sunday. There had been a lot of open water in the corn fields around here (Bartholomew Co.) but it's gettin a thin film of ice on it. Thinking about floating the river Saturday or looking for a flooded field not frozen yet. Saw a bunch of geese last night but not a single duck...send them this way if you could!

Nice haul of ducks. Were you in the Goose Pond or the Marsh? Not sure what you mean. We were hunt GP property. The specifics will have to wait until Monday cause we're headed back on Saturday.

Got ya. Beehunter Marsh is the section east of the actual Goose Pond. The big power lines in the background looked familiar.

I don't care too much. If someone would've PM'd me, then I would've told them anyways.... as I did with folks on Facebook. I don't need the meat bad enough to hide, duck, and change the way I do things. If someone needs to use pics that I put up to do their scouting..... then they may need to change their approach to hunting altogether. To me, it's a much better feeling to do it all myself and have a good day.

Plus as a graphic designer/photographer.... taking and putting up the pictures is half the fun. It's going to take getting a good draw wherever you go..... driving by the spot alone will tell you there are ducks there.

I'm not going to potlick, to steal a fishing term, anyone. Heck, I don't even chase water fowl. Joeyb was gracious enough to offer the opportunity to tag along, but timing never worked out.
I grew up running around that area, so I am very familiar with both the Goose Pond and the Beehunter Marsh.
Keep posting your pictures as I always enjoy them and think that you do a good job.
