Does an adolescent need to complete the Hunter Ed Course to hunt on thier parents farm that is family owned?

In order to purchase a hunting license, anyone born after December 31, 1986 is required to have Hunter Education. If a person is exempt from needing a license, they would not need hunter education. However, It is HIGHLY recommended that anyone who is going to be around firearms whether they hunt or not should take a hunter education course. It provides a lot of safety information about firearms, archery equipment, and having these items in your home.
