Well guy after years of trying to catch muskrats i finally got one, i will post a picture tomarrow. I tried my 110 conibear didn't work, so i pulled out the colony trap and caught one, only problem was water was not deep enough to dispatch him, i guess thats why i carry the .22 with me.

the .22 didn't do him any favors, that will be along skinning job. pictures coming tomarrow.

Timex, got a second one an hour ago, in the same colony trap, will post some pictures today of both. This one drowned.

whack them lively ones on the back of the head with a wrist sized stick. saves on the pelt damage congrats

Neat.. I have never caught a rat before. I tried a few weeks back when I found a nice waterhole in a creek that had good sign around it. i set it with few 110's and did not catch anything and then it seemed the sign went cold like they all moved out.
