I recently tried this product, which looks a lot like a deodorant stick, and I was fairly impressed with it. It smells a tad like Deer Danderâ„¢, though not nearly as pungent. It claims to replicate the smells of a deer bedding area, which supposedly calms deer who smell it. I applied the product to a tree, a decoy, and my blind. It leaves very noticeable white streaks, though rain reduces them on fabric for some reason, and they reccomend not using it on clothing. I wear clothing kept in a room that has an ozone generator to deodorize them, but have several times had to hurriedly dash out to the blind without showering. I know only from my own very unscientific observations to date that not one deer that has passed downwind of my pop-up blind has spooked, regardless of my state of hygeine. The product is available from Cabelas, or you can just Google it, the price is around $20 per stick.

Been using it since it hit the market, it makes on great cover scent. I did put it on a double bull I was sitting in and a doe stuck her head in the blind, I could see her whiskers. This year I had does and bucks walk right by me and even pass through the legs of my stand. Year or so back I had does bed down beside me with in 20 yards.
