I drove up to Hamilton County this morning to hunt with some buddies on a farm pond. We were about 7 miles to the northeast of 421 and 186th I think. With all the rain it had came out of its banks and was into the field a little bit. THey had shot up some teal and mallards last weekend on it and had seen geese on it yesterday. We set up with high hopes. The guy wearing hunter orange was a first time bird hunter. And as you can tell one guy didn't mud his blind. The sunrise provided a nice view from my cozy SUB blind. I had left my heater and most of my clothes in Lafayette so I was wearing my waders, hence the cozy. I was glad I didn't realy get cold at all but man those heaters are nice even on a day like today. Suzie wanted to run around for a minute. Shes a big sweetie! The spread: My buddy Tim bought some new Hardcores so we threw those out too. I like them for sure but I think they would look better mixed in with the GHG, The poses are neat but havin every bird look like it is jacked up seemed a little out of place to me. No birds, had some lookers but there was another pond that was completly open with a bout a dozen mallards roosted on it the pulled the birds in like a magnet less than 300 yards away. Heard 2 volleys of shot this morning both from a good ways off and different directions. Had a great time and can't wait to get out again.

Nice pics.
I was out for deer this morning and what a nice morning it was. Wish I could have stayed longer. The ones I saw you could hear from a mile away. Had to leave by 8:40 to go to my Son's basketball game.
Have only been out for birds once so far this year. Been spending my time in a tree.

Most digitals have preset filters... Use your "Sunset" filter for some awesome sunrise photos before the sun peeks over the horizon.
