I am primarily a bowhunter, but I have a lab that I would love to see retrieve a bird shot over decoys. Any advice for a green rookie as far as where to hunt or how to learn the sport? I live in the Columbus area and have heard good and bad about Monroe Lake. Any advice?

Can't offer you any Monroe advice....... Stillwatersniper can probably give you some advice for down that way.
You've stumbled upon the best hunting website anywhere....nothing but good guys on here that will answer anything you toss at 'em. Oh yeah, we're a little nuts too, so I hope we don't scare you away. LOL

If you have a canoe or a boat, there are multiple boat ramps on the East Fork of the White River all around you, and that's all I'm saying. ; )

Welcome aboard. Dont mind the provocative stuff going around in the waterfowl forum. It doesn't represent the majority of us ;D

I can help ya out with Monroe but I'd have to kill ya!! Just kidding, as of right now it's been pretty dead on the lake but Stillwater has shown some promise. I pretty much cut my teeth duck hunting down there so if you need anything feel free to PM me or just ask.
