Where is everyone going for the Central Zone opener this weekend?
We're hitting GP on Saturday & Sunday. We've got a reserve for 6th pick. Then Monday / Tuesday I'll be hitting my home spot. Wednesday back to GP, and Monroe on Thursday. Got to put some time in the deer stand before gun season kicks in on Nov. 17 too. Where will you be?

I will try to sent a few your way from up here. We still have plenty of Teal however I have not seen but a handful of Mallards. Things have been slow even with that big blow we got this week. Post up your weekend results when you can and GOOD LUCK!

JK, I'd be in a deer stand too if we didn't have this reserve. I've been on a nice buck, and it's hard to pull away from him. Might do me good giving him a break though. Should be a decent weekend at GP though.... Had a lot of good feedback from scouters.

Good luck at the Goose Pond. As of Monday it seems that the wood ducks are no longer hanging at my grandma's.

We had an ok weekend. Shot 11 day one and 6 day two. Had some issues with set up at day break the first day. I did a WHOLE LOT of missing. I don't know what my issue was there. Mostly grey ducks, but also GW teals, spoonbills, mallards, and woodies. I wounded a beautiful drake pintail, but he outran me and got to deep water. Hunted with some new guys, and that was a good change of pace. Had we brought layout blinds I think we would've done a lot better. It was a lot of fun getting hailed on on Saturday AM too. A good enough weekend to start off the 2012 season. I'll put up some pics here in a bit. I only have pics from day 2 cause it was raining all day on Saturday, didn't want to get the camera out. I'll be in the deer stand also. Don't like these new dates at all. - I don't like these dates either. It was nice to get deer season out of the way before ducks came in. It gave us the opportunity to bow and gun hunt without having the ability to be in a duck blind. Going to have to make some hard decisions come November 17.
