If you are not in medical need for a hearing enhancer are they legal to hunt with?

I just ran across them on ebay, and made me wonder since other electronic hunting aids (Electronic calls, laser sites, etc.) are not legal to use when engaged in a hunt.

The best hunting trip always ends with someone saying "I love it when a plan comes together"
