I'm sitting in the High School auditorium wait for Steph's choir concert to start. I too want to thank all involved. A extra thanks to Tom for putting Steph on deer this morning before we had to leave. She left a little bummed, but by Bloomington she realized there would still be a couple hours daylight after the concert. We're grabbing a quick bite to eat then back to the woods as soon as she's done singing.

Thank you both, Tom and Woody, Even though next year will be my last being an actual hunter at the AWSOME hunts you put on for us youth I will be more than willing to come back the years after and help out with the chores around camp or maybe even taking a nother young huntress out. lol. The youth hunts you provide us teach us valuble skills and the right way to hunt and care for the land in a fun way.

Thanks for the kind words all.
Firdt off, I'd like to pass on the words of thanks to the TEAM that made this event a success. Each member of the team served well and was every bit as important to the overall success of the hunt. THIS includes the mentors as well.
Second, one reason this even continues each year is the quality of the kids involved. Quiet a crowd this weekend with absolutely no problems or misbehavior from anyone. Everyone is to be commended for raising fine young men and women to take over the reins from us aging sportsmen.
To name the team members, first off is Woody. I know Woody was not feeling too well this weekend, but did not let that stand in the way of having a good time with the kids and the event. I know his heart and soul goes into this hunt each year and his desire to promote the sport with our young people is the driving force.
I want to thank the Cooks, Joe, Bob and Jason -- grub was plentiful and great as usual.
Thanks to Dustin and Jason for management of the stands and blinds. Thanks to all the stand hanging party--Ed, JDaily, Shaawn, Leslie, Nick, Swampdonkey, and the kiddos.
Thanks to the sponsors and to those who donated goodies and food stuff's.
Also thanks to the Skinner Family for stopping by with deserts and gifts. I know Bob would be proud and was looking down on our hunt this year.
See ya all next year.

I would like to Thank ALL that made this years hunt great! It takes a lot of dedication from ALL those guys to scout, prepare and hang stands, making sure kids have food and drinks and the after lunch games. Also those who made donations to make this all happen, the ones tht like to see kids have a great time out hunting. To me, this is BY FAR, the best YOUTH activity that I have ever been to. Tom, Woody and the gang, you guys ROCK! You guys deserve a big hand for all you do for these kids, I am amazed of the kindness from the gang to put this all together. There is so much time and dedication in making it go off great!
Thank You ALL! Brian

It was another great and successful hunt..
"Success" is not always measured by the number of animals that hit the ground..
Tom and I talked about that and it seem that "sucess rate" bothers us adults more than the kids.. Almost all kids saw deer and had fun. That is the main focus - have fun.
Lots of works goes into these hunts and I know that the kids appreciate it...
Thanks to all.
Mentors,
The "youth season" is over, but "deer seasons" have just begun.. Be sure to follow up and take a your kid hunting

Thank you everyone for everything you did for the youths this year, it was my last year and I got my first deer during the youth hunt, thanks to the great hunting ground timex(http://www.grandviewhuntclub.com/) let's the kids hunt during this hunt. Thank you woody, joe Jason Bob, Tom and everyone else that had a part in it! The video joe showed for the kids was a great learning experience for all the kids. Hopefully next year you all will have me back and be able to help around camp or mentor a kid that doesn't have someone to take them out. I am here to help next year as much as I can!
