Here in the UK duck season starts on Saturday first of September. We do things a lot different to you chaps over there, we feed the ponds and flight them in at night, i believe that is not allowed over your side of the pond. I i will be using the gun my friend gave me, we just sent him to our lord on Tuesday, how i wish that he could of been with me, but i know he will be watching and if i miss he will laugh his socks off. Best of luck to you. I am thinking of giving it a try this year, but possibly heavy rain forecast for my area Saturday morning on the first day of the early goose season. Don't know if I should even give it a try depending on the rain.

Some of the best nights here are the rough nights with rain and wind, it gets them to come inland from the coast to us. just depends how wet one wants to get, it doesn't bother the ducks and geese, they are waterproof, hehhe regards Billy
