Congrats on a great hunt! We'll be heading to Winner for opener this year. Have attended the last two years; nothing like it if you ask me. The scenery, the birds, the people; all fantastic. The pictures make me anxious already; and they couldn't be any more accurate. Nothing but hay bales everywhere!

One of these days, maybe. Beautiful country. How did you guys find that place? Dogs? Details please. A friend of a friend of my brother's has been going there for about 10 years. They had an opening & I had just retired so I jumped on it. The dogs we used are in the 3rd pic. We hunted both public & private land. The private land was $50/day/person but well worth it. We encountered a lot of semis hauling hay to Texas for the drought they had last year. About ran us off the road a couple of times. The bales are huge, only 8/truck load. The trip was long from Ft Wayne but I hope to do it again someday.
