In the spring of this year I made the 85 mile drive to Willow Slough to voice my opinion regarding the SJBP season.I'm not sure but I believe I was the only person there who lives in a SJBP county. The young biologist took down my name and listened to my ideas regarding the 2006-2007 SJBP season and to my surprise the season was set up almost exactly the way I thought it should be set.
If you go to the waterfowl meetings with a open mind and a prepared statement you will have a better chance of having your ideas listened to.
As far as the North Zone Duck season goes I know that even the property managers are not happy with it but apparently there were enough requests for a extended early season. They almost made the first season 9 days long.
