It has been 5 birds every year for the last several years. The focus is on the local population in an effort to thin them down. Unfortunately, every year there are more and more local geese. IMO, they need to open it up to 10 a day and we need a 10 a day or more February season too.
4 more days! I've got a flock of 50 or so that keep working the same pond and field every day. I know were I'll be Friday morning. ;D

I was just out driving around and w/in about a 5 mile radius of my house there's probably 500 birds. Too bad none are working my pond

I secured 10 acres the other day........chi-ching! Its in beans now....but I have a feeling that the resident geese in my area should make fly-bys.

Oh they'll fly by....just don't know if I can get them to commit to coming down in a cut bean field.... We'll give 'er a try once the farmer picks it clean. Lots of neighborhood retention ponds within 2-3 miles away...just outside city limits of Noblesville.
