I just got back from a scouting trip. I seen four decent sized flocks. One of the flocks I seen a had a couple leg bands and one white necklace.

About 1/2 mile from my house there are about 8 seperate groups of geese there, everyday. They are a lot of birds there, to the point that it is rediculous. The only problem is that I am in Marion county...

Man looks like you guys have it just about hammered out!!! That is the biggest challenge during the early season, finding a good place to hunt. Been there before just to have a major weather event change the whole plan on the first. Had a nice flock using a pasture every day for about 2 weeks, then the night of the 31st we started to get rain, woke up to rain and sat in the rain for several hours, when it was time to leave the usually ankle deep creek was shoulder deep, pretty tough with gun/decoys. Luckily we all made it out with no property damage or personal injury!!!
410 you sure you are going to let those go until the 4th??? A couple leg bands and one with a collar??? You better get after those things on the 1st and let me tag along!!!!
Good luck guys.

911, is that field down the road from me. I definately know the power lines and they are a mile from me but not sure how far N or S they are. I saw the owner of the pond with the cow pasture mowing so decided to stop. She declined saying, "I hate the geese but dont want you to hunt with the livestock there." Well lady, give us 1 day and you wont have a goose problem. There were probably 100 on the pond that day.
