Coming home from work last night I was on 32 heading back to Anderson just east of 421 I saw 2-250 geese in one huge flight. First big bunch I have seen since this winter/spring. Good luck to any one who has some places over there. Plenty of fields to look into Snakeye.
If this would have happened any other time then this year I would be all over there finding someplace to set up cause there were a ton of them. I have a baby due Aug. 25, a new job that I am working swing shift on 12 hour days, and will be moving Sept 16 so this season is pretty well shot.

Not a chance, we bought a home in Parke County. I am on a messed up schedule so Tuesday was my last day for 11 days. We just sold our house in Anderson.

I know that flock well, chased them many times. They hang at a ditch in a cow pasture near there. The cattle farmer with the ditch said no, but the surrounding row crops are a possibility if you have a plat book for there.
410, been outta town, will work on the stuff in your email ASAP.

Right I believe that, Snake don't you have a plat map for the area??? YOu ask one person and quit, there were a LOT of birds there I would find out where you can hunt. Unfortunately sometimes you have to first find where you can't hunt. Keep up the fight and you will be granted permission, if you try.
Art, I am working nights 3,4,5. Doesn't look like I am going to hunt at all this early season. Good luck!

duff, I drove by the pasture behind the house and there's 300 +/- ducks in it. When I pulled in my drive there were more headed over that way. I know where they're coming from and going to and I can't hunt either but if they stick around I'll find a field within their flight path.

I know if there is a chance for you to find a place to hunt you will get a place nailed down, it's old snakeye that wouldn't ask a landowner to save his life. Went for a drive to see if the old spot was holding geese again this year and it doesn't look good. Used to be a crap load of geese there and now they are just hear or there. Must be some egg oiling going on or something???

duff,
Let me know when you find some good property for me to hunt over there because Marion County is not treating me very well. : )
