For the second straight year Single Shooter has donated a muzzleloader to a lucky youth at the Youth Hunt! This year it is a Thompson Center Omega.
It will make some youngster extremely happy!!
DBD870 is going to donate a Bushnell scope and rings and sight it in before the hunt, so it will be ready to make meat that Saturday. We will also be buying the bullets, sabots, and accessories for the youth.
Friday afternoon we will ask the dads/mentors if their youth wants in on the drawing. They have to OK that exchange.
The youth are our future and thanks to Single Shooter and DBD870 for making this happen.

Looks great Dave!!! Glad to see it working out
Now to start looking for next year's donation rifle...lol
I may try to find an action only...I bought a new in the package Green Mountain 50 cal barrel with the cleaning kit for $5 at a swap meet over here in St. Louis a couple weeks ago...should make a real good shooter if I can find an action to slap on it....but I do have a year to figure it out...lol
Keep us posted on how the hunt goes - would love to see the lucky youngster get a nice deer with that rig their first time out with it

One year to the day after being shot it's now official...I will once again be in the hospital for more surgeries the weekend of the youth hunt so post some pics of the deer so I can at least have some small joy while in that wretched place.
I hope to see photos of deer with that youngster's new Omega rifle lying on it...with not being able to hunt myself again this year that would make my season so much better.
