This is my big food/killing plot for 2012. I planted corn in April and to the right is oats with clover underneath. To the far left of the field I left it empty so I can plant oats this fall. The feeder barrel I put up for a hen turkey that was hanging around. I had cracked corn, whole corn and oats in it. I havent seen her for over a couple months now so when the barrel ran out I put whole corn in it. My stand is about 1" to the left of the barrel at the end of the field which is about 80 yards. The strip with the oats is about 100 yards long. That gives me 180 yards or so to shoot. Deer cross at many different spots or come to the field. My stand is 12' tall and has a swivel boat seat that sets real comfortable. If we dont get some rain real soon the corn will be history. The clover I seeded in the oats hasnt come up and I doubt it will. Did I say I hated hot, dry weather!!! h.h. Attachments:

Look's like you need some rain badly. I've been lucky and have gotten some pretty good rain last couple week's. My plot's are looking good, but could use a good soaker sometime in next 5 day's. Hoping for rain for ya.
