A fellow I work with has an elderly neighbor who is selling his boat and asked if I was interested. Its a 17 1/2 foot Tracker Targa with a 90 h.p. tracker motor. Tracker trailer with the swing away tongue. It also has 50 lb thrust trolling motor, 2 live Wells, 2 bait Wells, walk through windshield, 2 depth finders, all the lifejackets and anchors. Also comes with 3 batteries. What scares me is he hasn't used the boat since his wife died 6 years ago. He got it out this spring and had to get the water pump impeller replaced on the motor. He said the boat has way less than 100 hours on it. He's asking 7500$ or best offer. What's your thoughts on it? Also is it big enough for Lake St. Clair and Kentucky lake? Mainly be used on Brookville and some similar lakes in SW Ohio. Thanks

Not sure why it posted in this section, but any ways. I'm going to look at it later this week, so I'll see how wide it is then. What's the going price on these?

I would go for around 6500, how old is the boat? One thing to be looking at, is when a boat sits that long, your carbs may need to be replaced. I let mine set for 8 months and had to replace one of my carbs, but they and the fuel lines may be gummed up. I would take it out and run it slow, open it up, and check everything out on it

I'd check basspro.com out, i'd think you can buy new for just a few grand more.

shouldnt have to replace the carbs. they may be gumed up a little bit but just sitting doesnt make them go bad. my tracker that i bowfish out of sat for 10 years and there was nothing wrong with the motor. the fuel lines were clogged and the carbs were dirty. buy 2 cans of sea foam at walmart and clean the carbs and fuel lines with one can then put the other in the first tank of gas. mine wouldnt start until i did this. cleaned them up and she runs like a champ. run a can of this stuff every 10 tanks of gas or so and its like a tuneup in a bottle.
