Today I put in three plots and have one more to do. I planted corn in my big plot and oats in the other two. When the oats get up around 3-4" I will sow a clover seed mix in them. This fall I will mow the oats down and there should be a nice stand of clover. I have one plot that is hard to get equipment in, I sprayed Round Up a couple weeks ago and I plan on sowing medium red clover in it. The other two will get a mix of medium red, alsike and ladino. The last one I can see when I hunt and it will be planted with Clover crush which is 6 different clover. Its sold by Evolved Habitat and has Tiffany on the front. I want to see how good the deer use it. I have one plot by the woods that I plowed but didnt plant it and most likely I will wait until Aug and plant turnips. I plan on broadcasting turnips between the corn rows too. Here is a picture of my tractor and culipacker I took today with my phone. Its a 1963 504 IH. Does a nice job for putting in plots, mowing and whatever else I do with it. h.h. Attachments:

Nice looking set up ya got there HH. The little lady wanted me to put out some wildflowers this year, but after pricing them I talked her into letting me put out peredovick sunflowers instead due to the diffrence in cost. I was able to get them sowed on march 29, approx 1 1/2 acres. Be interesting to see how many the deer eat when they get up around 6"LOL. They are just coming up right now. I have 3 other fields yet, one for corn, one for soybeans and one for legume and chicory mix. Had lime spread today, may get the fertilizer tomorrow, I hope.
