How is every ones season going thus far?
Two of us hunted Sat.and Sun.(12-17-12-18)
Sat. we found an open hole of water the size of my garage
7-mallards
1-black
only seen a 100 or so birds.
Sun. went to big water
2-canvasbacks
2-scaup
1-shoveler
1-mallard
seen alot of birds early ,nothing after 10a.m.

We have had a decent season so far. This cold snap kinda concentrated the birds faster then normal. Not a bad thing but some of my fields dry up after a heavy freeze like we have now. Just have to move to our "late" fields and holes. Need to find a few more of those spots cause we still have a long season left. Hate to over shoot these spots!

I have yet to see a big influx of birds, traditionally it comes after christmas. I ran about ten miles of the Wabash on sunday and only saw a handfull of ducks and very few geese. It'll get really good in a couple of weeks.
