Is there any way I can be sure I am on HNF or State forest land? I have some maps of HNF and these help a lot but the State forest do not seem to be as well mapped. I am not sure how accurate the on-line maps are. From what I have seen of the forest they are not posted with signs in most areas. Not asking for your honey hole, just some advice. Thanks

Stevein, Best way is to go to the local courthouse and purchase a "plat book". Every inch will be shown there. Good luck, BOB

Thank you Bob. I don't know why I never thought of that. I will be making some calls next week.

I love the beacon website, just wish all counties were on there.

Some times locals will put up no tresspassing signs in the wrong places there, sometimes they do that on purpose.
Your map may show one thing, but private land no tresspassing signs may show another, so be careful.
I used to hunt in HNF back years ago southeast of lake Monroe.

39dn is a gis like website that gives pretty accurate boundary lines, owner information and addresses and lots of other information. it stands for 39 degrees north. here's bartholomew county's; i know this one doesn't help but you can probably use Google and find the one for your county like it bartholomewin.egis.39dn.com/#
