I could not believe my eyes when I saw this pic.....from the looks of it this fawn is at least a month old...I know we had a wierd winter but I've never heard of a fawn this early this far north.....this doe had to have been bred REALLY early...

Neat! Would've had to have bred around August or so. Thanks for sharing the pic!
It has been one heck of a odd spring. I found my Strawberry plants blooming today. Not a mushroom to be seen yet :-(

Possible that it is a LATE fawn from 2011??? Maybe born Sept or Oct? Look's like it's eating on it's own. Doubt a newborn would be allready. Just another thought.

Given our VERY mild winter, and the weather during the main and second rut season last year I'd be more inclined to agree with this thought....just my two cents worth.

May just be a genetic issue of not losing its spots, almost like piebald deer?

None of the other does in the picture appear to be preggo, I'd guess the date is wrong on the picture and it was a late fawn last year, being 5 mos. Old when the pic was taken.
180 day gestation, very few does bred before Oct.

Look at the fall leaves on the trees........
