Does anybody know anything about Ameristep "Renegade" ground blind. Dick's Sporting has one on clearance for $140 original price was $300.It looks pretty good.
My first choice would be Double Bull but can't pull that off right now.
Thanks

I just bought one. The reaper.. Kinda spurt of the moment buy. Had some Dicks rewards cash there I had to spend before march 31st. Set it up yesterday. Seems nice and roomy. I think it's worth the price for sure. First blind I've ever bought though so I'm no expert... I did sit in a double bull dark horse last year opening day of turkey season and the blind leaked like crazy and I got soaked. This one seems more roomy.

I've found that ALL blinds need waterproofing and seam sealing..Especially the seams sealing.

What do y'all use, recommend for sealing the seams on ground blinds?

What do y'all use, recommend for sealing the seams on ground blinds? I just keep a cut open contractor's size black garbage bag in the blind bag (doesn't take up a whole lot of room) and if needed I put it between the ribs and blind on the inside. Most of the blinds I've been in are not made to be waterproof and I highly doubt if one could make a "pop up"style blind waterproof no matter what was used without totally messing up the camo print or making it have some kind of sheen. Of course I'm sure I've just started an argument with a few "know it alls" on here.......

I seal all seams with mobile.walmart.com/m/phoenix#ip/13848651 . I also use a silicone spray on the fabric. It might create a small amount of sheen but it doesn't seem to bother the turkeys. Turkeys is all that I hunt out of a pop up.
