OK, I will be needing some goose floaters for next season so who's are the best bang for my buck?
Who's got good paint that stays on?
Been using Bigfoot decoys for the last 5 year and I like them.

Bigfoot floaters, I own a flock of them that are about 10 years old and they still look perfect. My only beef is that now they only make them with flocked heads. Never had a paint issue and I don't remove the heads.

Good idea and a money saver too, besides that you might need that money for gas.

I just bought a dozen avery canada floaters and a 4 pack of avery active floaters. Awesome decoys, paint is fine unless you are really rough on them. Flocking is great too. Macks has great deals on ghg decoys right now if you spend over $100 for free shipping and use a $15 off promo code. I just got the 4 actives, decoy line, and the 80z keel grabbers for $108 shipped... Not a bad price at all. You could always let me hunt with you and we can use my spread... ;-)

I will say I have a few of the new tanglefree canada floaters. I am impressed with them. They are quite a bit bigger than the GHGs. The the flocking is great. The heads and tails are flocked. The paint seems to hold up very well too. I think most goose floaters are pretty good quality anymore. I've thought about just mix matching my spread just to get a different look. I am impressed with the dakotas but they are a little pricey. The final approach ones look nice especially for $70 for 6 of them. Only problem is they have no flocking on the heads. No room in the budget for more goose floaters for me at the moment. I do however see half a dozen GHG buffleheads purchase in the near future...

I bought some GHG full bodies when they first came out...never again. They were junk from day one and continue to be junk IMO. I am used to big foots that can be blown out of your truck bed and slide down the highway for a hundred feet or so and only thing is a few pebbles road rash. Those GHG break under the mildest of abuse just from unloading the truck in freezing weather.
Flocking is very easy to do yourself if you wanted flocked heads. I am not convinced flocking helps or hurts so I don't change my purchase based on that. I still like the Big Foots and I believe the floaters are still made in USA...if that matters to anyone anymore. I know BF started importing those smaller fullbodies though...who knows.
Get what you want and kill some birds. They all will get it done, even the old floating shells still get it done so don't over think it.

I bought my GHG decoys in 2007. Since then I've stepped on, tossed, froze, beat, smashed, and shot them and still being used this season. I guess I got a good batch, or yall got bad batches. Same thing with my duck decoys except I got them in 2006. Not all my full bodies are GHG, a lot of them are big foot. I just like the GHG better.
