I saved all of my sinew scraps to make some glue. I sorted out all the darker dirty pieces and was left with a shoe box full of clean scraps. I put them in a crock pot and covered them with some water. I cooked it over night. This is what it looked like in the morning. I made a redneck strainer out of a coffee can and a rag. It worked really well. I poured the liquid into 3 small bread foil pans. After it cools, it gells up. It is basically unflavored jello at this point. I froze two chunks and dried out one. I cut it into little pieces and put it in front of a fan for a couple of days. The two frozen chunks will just need to be heated up to use. The dried stuff will need to soak in water for a good while to make the glue. I will use it to sinew back bows and to apply snake skins to bow limbs.

I would love to see the snake skin on the back of a bow when you are done.
