Anyone have any squirrel dogs in Southern Indiana?I am thinking about getting one but don't know where to start.

check on the Kentucky hunting foums. I was on there once and saw a breeder. I just typed in Kentucky hunting forums I believe and went from there.

If you look back threw the posts in small game one of our members has them and offered to take anyone with a good woods on a hunt and use his dogs. h.h.

Some of the Amish down there are into them big time. They have some of the best Fiest bloodlines in the country.

I have a large Plott that loves to squirrel hunt. He rarely barks treed but if he sets up on a tree you can bet there is one in it. Only problem is making sure you beat him to the squirrel when you shoot it out. The best squirrel dog I ever owned was my wife's house dog. He was a Wirehair/Dachsund cross and died on his second birthday of leukemia.

Look up Squirrel Dog Central on the web and go to the classifieds also do the same on Foothills Hunting Dogs

Almost any Fiest or mountain kerr that you spend time w/ in the will put a treerat on the wood!
