I picked up my new squirrel getter on Saturday, ran to Bass Pro to grab a set of rings and mounted the scope Sunday afternoon. I shot these 3 groups right before dark on Sunday evening. I tried 3 different types of ammo, and you can see for yourself which one the gun liked. Kimber Classic Varmint Stainless Mach 2, Simmons Aetec 3.8x12 scope. The groups were shot @ 50 Yds, after getting close to POI. I fired 5 shots into the dirt with each type of ammo before looking at group size on paper. The rings may be a little bit high, I'll see if I have a slightly lower set to try. (after season opens tho!) A little bit of fine tuning and I'm ready for Wed! This was just a quickie target on legal paper.

Thanks guys. I shot again today, after my nephew had his 10/22 sighted in. He stuck some shotgun shells in the plywood target holder at 50 Yds, and we both tried to shoot them. He was using a rest, sitting down, and I was kneeling using a corner of the same shooting bench. I was able to hit 3 of them before he could get steady enough to pull the trigger. I let him shoot all 10 shots at the last one before I zinged it. ;D I let him beat me quite a few times before that, so I just had to get one in. I haven't paid much attention to the trajectory, but I shot it at 50 Yds (dead on) and again at 100 Yds (1/2" low). I couldn't play too much, I had to save a few shells for tomorrow. He and I will go out behind the house here after he gets off of school tomorrow. I'll post pics of what we can find in the afternoon. Good luck to all!
