Things have been dead slow up until last Monday. Today had over 300 birds flying but couldn't get them to fully commit. We had about 2 inches of ice in front of our blind which we broke up for a pocket. It just floated right back up and left our dekes in some choppy blocks of ice. We did manage to get 2 though. I'm a believer that if that ice broke up better and our dekes were out in the open water about 20 yards more we could of limited with 4 guys in the first hour of shooting... Live and learn though... We did see a flock of about 15 Goldeneye and a single Redhead. Very nice day hunting today in Lagrange Co.
