How many like to eat bull frogs? What are some ways that you like to hunt them. And do you eat the whole frog or just the legs. What do you think makes them taste better than the store bought ones raised in frog farms or do they taste different? ;D

I love 'em. I usually go bare hands but i've also done some giggin. A light coat of flour seasoned with Texas Select's Jalapeno Dusted and into the frying pan. I don't bother with store bought. Too much $$$ per lb.

Love em! Gig. Legs only. Personally harvested is always better. Flour & butter fried.

We usually go bare hands while spending time between limb line runs.
Legs dredged in a cajun fish coating.

I get them with either a gig or a pellet gun..... Just eatt he legs... never tried the store bought ones.... I cook em up in flour butter and salt and pepper... although cajun seasoning does sound good ont hem I may well try that this summer.

Have not done it in a while but gigging is the way to go. I just eat the legs. Couldn't imagine eating other parts of a frog. This sounds like a get together waiting to happen.

You aint a full fledged, well rounded, Indiana redneck unless frog giggin is on your resume. Just eat the legs. Peel their jammies off, flour, salt & pepper, then fry in hot oil. You need about 20 big ones for a good mess.

I cheat and use an old Colt New Frontier .22 with shot cartridges. I am close and use headshots. You can see a couple of pellet holes in the body, so I only eat the hind legs. Flour, fry, salt and pepper.

There's just nothing like you and a buddy loading three coolers, two full of beer and one half full of ice , into a canoe or jon boat for a night of frog gigging. You take turns paddling and gigging until you hit the limit, or until you hit your beer limit, whichever comes first. The bodies go back into the water to feed the catfish you'll be after the next night. Then it's off to the kitchen to dredge those legs in seasoned fish fry coating for their trip to the deep fryer. Man, that's livin'...

Been giggin' a few times, not that fun for me but I do love the legs. My brother and dad use .22 bird shot, they used to gig for 10 - 15 years then some one turned my brother on to the bird shot he was hooked and has done it that way ever since, man the stories they tell after a night in the swamp!
