Had my 15 yr old son with me in the stand while i harvest a deer. He got a violation for not having a hunting license, even though there was only one firearm between the two of us, in the stand or in our possesion (truck to).
Same night, got a violation for not having an off road permit, for my atv, even though i wasn't on a county road. Just draggin a deer out of the woods directly to my truck. He told us that even on private property i have to have an off road permit. Unless i own the property.
Was the CO doing his job, or just being an arse?
Fines have been paid, paying an attorney is too costly to fight.

If you can provide more information such as a date and location, I can look into it. I am not going to give an opinion on how a Conservation Officer performs his or her duties based on a few details. I hope you can understand this.
