I ran dogs today and they ran a rabbit so long that it tired out and they caught it and killed it. Ive been training Tiffy to retrieve and with a little coaxing she did. Hope you enjoy it as much as i did. h.h. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSvAfNUJJLI |

That's awesome. I haven't rabbit hunted in years. It don't get much better than watching them dogs chase bunnies.

Thats great stuff right there, you must be really proud of your dogs. what speed are they and how many beagles do you have? do you ever go to any trials?

Maybe I did a lot of coaxing! lol Ive raised this breed of beagles since 1983. Ive got 4 and will be breeding sometime soon when Tiffy's next heat comes. They are Patch Hounds. They were originally bred for running hare and are on the fast side for cottontail but ive had hours and hours of great hunting behind these dogs. I use to trial them years ago and soon learned there was too much politics in trialing for me. I am an AKC licensed trial SPO and Brace judge. Ive got some more video i took today and will post it soon. Tomorrow Im going to take a gun and shoot a few for the pot. |

My dogs are done hunting........only have a few as pets now, but I sure loved to run them dogs!
