Probably not "re-inventing the wheel" or anything but these are really nice video units. It is a DXG-567V IR Video unit that does color daytime and IR at night in a BLACKFLASH HOMEBREW Video unit with amplified sound. Here is a few videos from it and I will attach some pics of the unit itself. Hope you guys enjoy it... youtu.be/w_SkUrDHJ5Eyoutu.be/_OYA-_UVfnsyoutu.be/hViVRg_pXWEyoutu.be/rYWaatyA-8c

Nice unit, but nope not reinventing the wheel by any means. Glad to see your advertising appropriately:) Whats a unit like this cost and what type of warranty do you offer? So does blackflash mean without a "glow"? What nm filter are you using?

There is no filter. I am using 940nm led arrays. From 4 feet and closer you can see a faint purple haze. Out past 4 feet it is completely black. This unit is video only. Not a still pic unit where you cover the flash with some IR material. The amplified sound is achieved by using a Kit98 preamplifier and a external microphone. This unit runs $400.00 TYD. My warranty is quite simple. 100% fully covered by me for the 1st year. I even reimburse you the money to ship it to me. After the first year and for as long as you own your unit I will supply free labor and return shipping and all you cover is replacement part. So in 3 years from now if you owned this camera and the camera itself went out it would cost about $50 for the repair. Thanks for asking Lyman.

Hmm sounds good. Do you hook these up to remote sensors? I may be interested in one. I built a few models years ago using pixcontroller parts, but video would be better. Pix controller stil makes em, but not sure of the prices and I dont have time to research or build anymore. How much video time per battery life?

It looks like something from the movie THE HURT LOCKER. Try taking that aboard a plane, well officer it's a little something I made at home.
